District 6 Publishing
District 6 is an independent music publishing group made up of District 6 Music Publishing in London (founded in 2007) and District 6 France Publishing in Paris (founded in 2012).
Context and Goals
Managing a global catalog of more than 80,000 copyrights, District 6 provides premier copyright and related rights management services in more than 40 countries, for artists, composers, labels and catalogs around the world. Their catalog includes renowned artists such as Ofenbach, Kas, Feder, and labels like Sterns Music and Ultra Music. Their need was to create a modern and functional website that reflects their international reach and expertise in the music industry, highlighting a certain creativity and modernity.
Our Approach
1. Research & Strategy
Before beginning creative work, we analyzed District 6's needs, as well as their unique positioning in the music industry. We studied their international and varied audience, and defined clear objectives: to create a platform that reflects their global reach, while remaining accessible and intuitive for their partners, artists and labels. In collaboration with their team, we adjusted the communication angles in order to highlight their expertise in music rights management.
2. UX/UI mockups
Starting from the visual identity developed by the Parisian agency FakePaper.fr, we designed the site models with particular attention to ergonomics and user experience. Our approach was to create an interface that was both elegant and functional, facilitating navigation among the different services offered and the discovery of the artists and catalogs represented. The visual design was carefully adjusted to harmonize with the established graphic universe, with creative animations and interactions, while offering a fluid and intuitive navigation structure.
3. Web development
Once the models were validated, we proceeded to develop the site on Webflow, making sure to integrate every detail of the visual identity while optimizing performance and compatibility on all devices. The site has been designed to be fully responsive, offering an optimal user experience both on desktop and mobile. Rigorous tests have been carried out to guarantee smooth, fast and bug-free navigation, while ensuring that each content is easy to manage by the District 6 team.
Results
The District 6 site today reflects their expertise and international scope, while offering a clear and engaging user experience. The platform has become an essential tool to promote their global catalog, facilitating access to their rights management services for their partners in more than 40 countries. Thanks to close collaboration with their team and the FakePaper.fr agency, we have delivered a site that is both faithful to their identity and technically efficient.
